Why Choose Us?

At JSH Insights, we believe that meaningful change comes from combining professional expertise with compassion, lived experience, and a commitment to neurodiversity‑affirming practice. Here’s what sets us apart

Hello, I’m James.
With over twenty years’ experience in the mental health sector, I specialise in supporting autistic individuals and those around them to navigate distinct challenges across different settings. My career has spanned education, residential care, and in‑patient services, giving me the insight to adapt approaches to the unique needs of each person and context.

This breadth of experience has shaped a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding autism and related mental health issues. I draw on evidence‑based practice while remaining attuned to the diverse lived experiences of those I work with. This combination ensures that the support I provide is both credible and dependable.

I am committed to improving quality of life for the people and organisations I work alongside. In 2023, I was honoured to be recognised as Highly Commended for Great Autism Practice at the Learning Disability and Autism Awards — a reflection of my dedication to meaningful, values‑driven practice.

Judges Comments:

James has made life changing differences to many people over the years, through recognising the needs of autistic people are different when providing treatment and care for those with an eating disorder or disordered eating. James spends his spare time supporting a charity who are campaigning for changes to hospitals to improve the care and support offered. James is working hard to share his knowledge and skills to those within his organisation and other people who are wanting to learn more about Eating Disorders and Neurodiversity.
